Why Your Mod Matters

The term Workers Compensation can make many people cringe, employers and employees alike. But it is something employers must learn to administer properly. In this session, we will cover 5 key pieces to any Workers Comp program that can help us better understand this specific insurance, how to control claims when they do happen and how our safety programs play a key role in prevention. This workshop is intended for anyone in a Human Resources or Safety role and would benefit supervisory/management positions as well. However, we invite you to pass this along, within your organization, to anyone who you feel would benefit from the work-session.

Facilitator:

Shannon Prescott – Shannon is the Director of Risk Control for our property and casualty clients. She is a licensed P&C Producer, a Certified WorkComp Advisor, Certified Occupational Safety Specialist and is an Authorized OSHA Outreach Trainer for General Industry and Construction industries. She assists clients with compliance and safety program evaluation and implementation, helping them achieve compliance with OSHA, DOT and DOL regulations. In addition, she provides First Aid/CPR and Mental Health First Aid courses. Shannon serves on the VT Safety & Health Council and is also an active member of the Massachusetts based, Franklin County Young Professionals, currently serving as the organization’s Chairperson.
