Sr. Commercial Risk Manager

Brattleboro VT

The Richards Group is currently seeking an experienced insurance professional to join our Commercial Lines Division in Brattleboro, VT. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

The Senior Commercial Risk Manager will be instrumental in managing a complex commercial insurance book of business through expertise in retention, client servicing, technology, marketing and sales support. We are seeking an outgoing, confident, team player who has extensive experience in Commercial Property & Casualty Insurance. This individual will work directly with the agency VP to meet organizational objectives. They will be responsible for servicing existing clients directly and will consistently meets sales, service, and quality standards established by management with emphasis on retention and exemplary client servicing.

Key Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Deep knowledge and expertise in Property & Casualty; a thorough understanding of Commercial Insurance Products, including: Property, General Liability, Workers Compensation, Products Liability, Professional Liability, Employment Practices, Cyber Liability, Automobile, Umbrella and Flood Insurance is required

  • An executive presence with polished and well developed written and oral communication skills

  • Must have a Consultative service and sales attitude and approach in working with a variety of business industries and sizes

  • Experience in working with various insurance companies and systems; professionally and thoroughly developing customized proposals

  • Ability to perform in depth coverage analysis and policy review

  • Ability to work effectively with account management and customer service teams

  • Must have Integrity. A positive attitude. Highly professional. Very reliable. Focused. Detailed. Efficient. Must be a Team player and highly self-motivated.

  • Active Property & Casualty Insurance Producer License

  • 5-10+ years experience in Commercial Property & Liability Insurance Client Servicing, Management and Technology

  • At least 3 years experience using application management system (AMS 360)

Commercial Lines Account Manager

Manchester VT Bennington VT

The Richards Group is currently seeking an experienced Account Manager to join our Commercial Lines team in Bennington or Manchester, Vermont.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

The Account Manager works independently and/or collaboratively to manage overall client service and administration throughout the issuance and renewal cycle.

This position is a client facing role utilizing professional skills in Commercial Property and Casualty insurance to maintain and enhance client relationships while also insuring client profitability.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • Active Property & Casualty license

  • Experience using an application management system (AMS360 is preferred)

  • Knowledge and expertise in Property and Casualty; a thorough understanding of Commercial Insurance Products

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal skill and a desire to cultivate positive relationships and provide exceptional service

  • Must have Integrity; A positive attitude; Highly professional; Reliable; Focused; Detailed; Efficient; Must be a Team player and highly self-motivated

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment

Preferred Qualifications

Receptionist

Brattleboro VT

The Richards Group is currently seeking an Receptionist to join our team in Brattleboro, Vermont.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Answer incoming calls and direct to proper individual via person or voicemail. Take accurate messages when necessary.

  • Greet visitors as they enter and direct them to the appropriate person in the agency.

  • Accurately process walk-in payments from insureds.

  • Responsible for the telephone communication system.

  • Process outgoing mail. Open, date and distribute all incoming mail in a timely manner.

  • Document employee absences from the office and serve as a messenger center for agency personnel who are away from their desk.

  • Develop positive working relationships with clients and company personnel.

  • Work as a team with other staff members to accomplish production goals.

Key Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.

  • Experience operating a multi-line telephone system.

  • Pleasant, courteous phone personality and the ability to service a variety of people.

  • Polished and professional communication skills.

  • Excellent organization skills and ability to multi task in a fast-past work environment.

  • Reliability and ability to keep a consistent schedule is essential.

  • Strong typing skills and good attention to detail.
