Sr. Commercial Risk Manager

Brattleboro VT

The Richards Group is currently seeking an experienced insurance professional to join our Commercial Lines Division in Brattleboro, VT. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

The Senior Commercial Risk Manager will be instrumental in managing a complex commercial insurance book of business through expertise in retention, client servicing, technology, marketing and sales support. We are seeking an outgoing, confident, team player who has extensive experience in Commercial Property & Casualty Insurance. This individual will work directly with the agency VP to meet organizational objectives. They will be responsible for servicing existing clients directly and will consistently meets sales, service, and quality standards established by management with emphasis on retention and exemplary client servicing.

Key Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Deep knowledge and expertise in Property & Casualty; a thorough understanding of Commercial Insurance Products, including: Property, General Liability, Workers Compensation, Products Liability, Professional Liability, Employment Practices, Cyber Liability, Automobile, Umbrella and Flood Insurance is required

  • An executive presence with polished and well developed written and oral communication skills

  • Must have a Consultative service and sales attitude and approach in working with a variety of business industries and sizes

  • Experience in working with various insurance companies and systems; professionally and thoroughly developing customized proposals

  • Ability to perform in depth coverage analysis and policy review

  • Ability to work effectively with account management and customer service teams

  • Must have Integrity. A positive attitude. Highly professional. Very reliable. Focused. Detailed. Efficient. Must be a Team player and highly self-motivated.

  • Active Property & Casualty Insurance Producer License

  • 5-10+ years experience in Commercial Property & Liability Insurance Client Servicing, Management and Technology

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

The Human Resources (HR) Assistant is a generalist role that performs administrative and technical functions to support the HR Department. This position assists the HR Manager with day-to-day HR responsibilities including recruitment and on-boarding efforts, employee benefit & claims administration, event planning, record keeping, compliance & supporting various HR Projects.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Communications or related field. 4 years related experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.

  • Ability to prioritize work according to business urgency and/or schedules and meet or exceed deadlines

  • Ability to organize work processes and documents

  • Ability to interact with others in a professional and helpful way

  • Ability to be proactive with regard to problem resolution

  • Very strong attention to detail and accuracy of information

  • Very strong verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills

The Richards Group is currently seeking an Account Manager to join our Commercial Lines team in Bennington or Manchester, Vermont.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

The Account Manager works independently and/or collaboratively to manage overall client service and administration throughout the issuance and renewal cycle.

This position is a client facing role utilizing professional skills in Commercial Property and Casualty insurance to maintain and enhance client relationships while also insuring client profitability.

  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal skill and a desire to cultivate positive relationships and provide exceptional service
